Liverpool Vs Manchester United – An early Preview
On Sunday, one of the biggest games in world football is going to take place, Liverpool Vs Manchester United, not always a great game, but always full of talking points. From Vidic’s slip and red card, to Mascherano being sent of for dissent to John O’Shea scoring last minute goals this is a game that truly sets the pulse racing in anticipation.

For some reason, this game always seems to arrive at points in the season with added “buzz”, this year, it’s Liverpool and their awful run of 4 defeats, what a time this would be to turn it around. Already 7 points behind the reigning champions another defeat here would leave Liverpool’s title dream and potentially their place in the “Top 4” in tatters. Last years United’s form against the other “Big 4” was woeful, but so far this year beating Arsenal, and Man City bodes well and another win for United will firmly keep them on course for the title.
Liverpool currently are waiting and praying on the fitness of Fernando Torres and talisman Steven Gerrard, with these two out Liverpool’s chances take a big hit. One plus point for Liverpool is that Glenn Johnson was quoted in The Guardian as saying “”It is a lot better today, I think I will be all right for Sunday,”.
Manchester United are waiting on the fitness of Wayne Rooney, who is still recovering from international duty, and also has a baby due! Otherwise there are no major concerns, with Evra due to return. After Nani’s performance last night, it would seem inevitable that he will be given the chance along with Valencia, but Ferguson may opt for experience and give Ryan Giggs a start alongside Valencia, who will be looking to exploit Glenn Johnson’s lack of fitness and questionable defensive qualities.

In terms predicting a result, it’s always a tough game to predict, as on their day both teams are easily capable of winning, Liverpool will either be spurred on by the horrible recent run, or morale could be down and they crumble under further pressure. I can’t see a repeat of last year happening, and I personally think this will either end a draw or United will sneak a win 1-0 or 2-1.

am realy happy to watch the match between liverpooland manchester united as iam afan of man u hopping that man u will be winning the match if the players do hard work and sir alex must play on his part very well and i hope the injured players will be back like rooney, evra, fletcher, giggs and good luck for man united
Bring it on, I think it will be close but we’ll sneak it 2-1. Liverpool look so average at the moment. Random I know, but I just found this site where you can decide on the greatest united player + team to have played in the Prem, stupidly addictive. Unbelievably Cantona has not been voted in the top XI yet, Check it out http://www.greatestmanunitedplayer.com.
